Terms & Conditions
Signing of the booking form signifies acceptance of the company’s terms and conditions herein. Telephone bookings will be held without deposit for a maximum of 72 hours unless otherwise agreed.
Deposits which are 25% of the total course price are non-refundable.
The balance of course fees is due four weeks before arrival. In the event of non-payment we reserve the right to re-sell the booking, the deposit will be forfeited.
The company reserve the right to alter any published schedule or substitute an alternative vessel. The company shall not accept claims and shall not be liable at any time for claims or expenses caused by circumstances beyond its control including sickness, accident, travel delays, weather, strikes, war or civil unrest.
In the event of cancellation by the client prior to the final balance being due only the deposit is forfeited. If cancellation is after the date of final payment then the client is liable to pay the outstanding balance. At the company’s discretion we may transfer the reservation to an acceptable alternative date.
In the event of Ramsgate Sailing Limited cancelling a charter or course we shall be liable only for the refund of fees paid. No payment will be paid for incidental costs such as travel and accommodation etc.
No student or persons chartering shall bring aboard any contraband, drugs or other similar substance or item.
If you have any grievances or complaints at all you should raise them at the very first opportunity with your skipper. If you are not satisfied with the action taken you should then immediately contact James Bradney, the Principal. Only in the event that you are still dissatisfied after his involvement should the RYA then be contacted.
Ramsgate Sailing Limited, its director, employees and instructors do not accept responsibility for any loss, damage or injury suffered by persons and/or their property arising out of or during the course of their activities whilst sailing, training and/or coaching and/or instructing unless such injury loss or damage was caused by or resulted from negligence or deliberate
act.
RSS supports the objective of making sailing an activity that is genuinely open to anyone who wishes to take part. RSS will aim to ensure that sailing, including the RYA training scheme, is accessible to all, including those who have been under-represented in the past.
RSS is committed to the principle of equality of opportunity and aims to ensure that all present and potential participants, students, instructors and employees are treated fairly and on an equal basis, irrespective of sex, age, disability, race, religion or belief, sexual orientation, pregnancy and maternity, marriage and civil partnership, gender reassignment or
social status.
We will implement this policy by being seen as friendly, welcoming and open to all.
We may relax regulations in relation to RYA training schemes which may inhibit the performance of candidates with special needs, provided that the standard, quality and integrity of schemes and assessments is not compromised.
RSS reserves the right to discipline any of its instructors or employees who practice any form of discrimination in breach of this policy.
The effectiveness of this policy will be kept under review on an ongoing basis.
